This is starting to become a huge problem to the point where a few individuals (will not name to not break the rules) go on the KI discord and brag about it. Even showing off their stats as like some kind of trophy. Qualifer matches are filled with lvl 50s with obvious huge amount of experience in the game. Something has to be done or what remains of the casual population will be gone forever. Please KI community you must do something at the very least properly mod the discord chat to keep smurfs from bragging about their evil deeds.
Are you guys playing this?
I’ve played it non-stop for 2 days now. Man it’s addictive to swing through Manhattan. Reminds me of the days of Prototype, inFamous and Batman: Arkham City. Haven’t had this fun with a superhero game since Arkham City, tbh. It’s so good, I just wish there was MORE to do! Not that it is lacking at all, not at all… I just want more! XD
Also, I love this loading screen of Manhattan Island:
Throw tech windows in KI are BIG ( 15 frames before throw connects and 2 frames after).Numbers from @TheKeits in a Juicebox stream chat
(Reversal windows out of blockstun/buffer windows out of recovery) for normals and throws are small (idk how small but I’d bet its like nonexistent in this instance)
Characters can input throw tech without throw coming out ( they are simultaneously blocking and teching throw) during blockstun, hitstun, recovery frames of moves and during taunt. The taunt thing is useless . In other words tech early, not late
There are certain ways to beat it (overheads, command grabs, fast plus on block normals) but its seems pretty important. Also its seems like an open secret (a couple top KI players told me they knew about it). The way I see this affecting KI “meta” heading into 20XX is…
Throw bait mixups on slow moves (e.g. Cinder pyrobomb detonate, throw) are considerably weaker since they can be OS’ed on reaction
Block pressure becomes more geared towards options that overextends the attacker to break downback.
What are your thoughts? Will you be trying to incorporate it into your gameplay? Do you already? Where?
A note before we start the thread; please make sure to keep this on the topic of security measures in place at events, rather than allowing this to devolve into a never-ending discussion about gun laws themselves.
In the last few years, there have been an increased number of tragedies at events, and I’m sure most on these forums are aware of the shooting which occurred during a Madden tournament in Florida. I happened to see this article today and thought this was a worthwhile discussion to have here, as I know there are a lot of people in the KI community who attend tournaments on a fairly regular basis; I’m curious how those with more event experience than myself view changes like this.
Personally, I think the safety of the staff and attendees is paramount, even if it requires something like opening a fight stick. I understand that some may see a potential for such a requirement to have an effect on player mindsets and potentially even how the fight stick will perform, but I think it’s important that something is being done to hopefully prevent any more tragedies in the future.
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT INCREASED SAFETY FOR TOURNAMENTS AND OTHER LIVE EVENTS IS REQUIRED?
Safety at any cost, no matter what is required of competitors.
Safety is important, but there must be limits to the requirements.
My opinion is entirely neutral (or I do not compete).
I believe the existing safety procedures at live events are sufficient.

Tagging a few people I know to be organizers and frequent tournament goers, as I’m specifically hoping for more experienced opinions than my own.
So, it’s been about a month and a half since it was mentioned that the last patch was all about finding & fixing broken stuff, and it was implied that there’s a backlog of stuff that the KI Krew wanted to catch up on since the things cleared up from the weird problems from early this year… How about that Q&A? @KRAKENJIMMY@snickerdoodle
It’s been quite a while since the last legendary December 2016 Q&A, and it’s be awesome to get some new insights regarding what’s going on, and what may be next. Oh, and I whipped up a spicy meme to bribe you guys just in case I had to:
can anyone tell me why my kicks arent working in game. my a b and rt buttons work just fine. only punches work in game and i cant seem to get any kick to work even if i remap my kick button to another button. its not my controller it works just fine. its the game just not allowing me to use any kick what so ever
I’m many ways beat’em ups are the antithesis of fighting games but they tend to have a lot of cross appeal, and since this is Capcom I though folks might be interested.
Besides Final Fight, I don’t think any of these games have been accessible outside of emulation for a good long time. With a price tag of $20 for 7 games this seems like a pretty good deal to me. I also think the Xbox one version - with the hope of future comparability with new Xboxes down the line makes the most sense to purchase these retro games - so you aren’t re-buying them or having to keep old consoles around. Steam also works for this if you care to play beatem ups on PC.
These games have gone out of style because they really only make sense to steal your quarters. But they can make for a fun few hours with a friend. The best update to the genre, by a million miles in my opinion, is Dragon’s Crown. The leveling and play through mechanisms there really should be picked up by someone to make newer beat em up games.
Exaclty what the title says. How do you remove PC players from your Exhibition search?
Is it “NO cross play” or “NO cross network play”…or both?
Problem is every PC player Ive played today and last night is FULL of roll back and screen skipping as if we are playing on MKX original online code or SF online network.
Ive been mid combo and then it turns into them blocking. Ive been in mid throwing the oppeoent and it turns into them jumoing out of the throw and then throwing me. Not fun.
Not sure why, but for me, Cross play is not connecting well at all.
@KRAKENJIMMY was told to report this to you. Its been like this for a while but pretty much none of my progress saves and its been like that for a while. Any new character levels i gain or settings i change dont save and when i restart the game it goes back to my old settings even my prostars go back to 4 but they get fixed when start ranked multiplayer @PCKPharrohYami
I always hope Nintendo and Noise bring back Custom Robo for Switch until I was starting to give up cause CR franchise is pretty dead, but now CR creator announces new 3D shooting game like Custom Robo! I can’t wait to see Synaptic Drive gameplay trailer.
I might buy Switch console if Synaptic Drive’s gameplay like Custom Robo. Please be good!
Trick-or-Treat!
Low tier or top tier it really doesn’t matter, all the best waifus always look good on Halloween. @StreetFighter@KillerInstinct#Orchid#Sakura#Cammy
So, I understand light DP is supposed to be invincible, but it trades and sometimes even flat out loses surprisingly often. Can anyone explain why light DP trades at both the 15 second mark as well as the 43 second mark?
Anyone feel that Glacius is really powerful or a cheap character to use? Before you say anything, keep in mind I am a Glacius main and I hate fighting other Glacius players if they know what they’re doing. From the hate mail I’ve been receiving since 2013, I have concluded that Glacius is a frustrating character to fight. We just need him to double jump now and his powers will be complete. Anyone Glacius users like to fight up close than far away? His grab reach is ridiculous and I love it. One thing I like to do as Glacius is get my opponent in my corner and throw them and hit them with several pokes and throw them again and poke them, then anticipate their counter grab so I jump and land and poke them and throw them repeatedly. Keeps them in the corner almost the whole match.
Also question, if someone is banned from this forum, are they still able to play KI online?
I feel that one of the things KI has in its favor compared to other fighting games is that we have an official forum. It’s so nice. You don’t have the character limits of twitter. The threads last. People think out what they say and you have some really well thought out posts. That doesn’t really exist in discord or whatever. Wish other fighting games had one.
Is anyone else experiencing severe teleport screen skipping, lag, and major rollback where entire moves (Ex: throw) and then reappear as a totally different move from the opponent?(Ex: from throw to being hit and full combo)
The past week it has become progressively worse each day I play. Exhibition and Ranked…but mainly in Exhibition.
Im just curious if this is a world wide issue at the moment or just an issue that I am experienceing.
@KRAKENJIMMY Has there been any confirmation that you guys have seen this or been asked about it?
Hey people in here… it’s been years since I’ve been here, so sorry if I’ve just missed it… but I havde tried searching the forum.
I’m wondering if the full digital soundtrack that comes with the Definitive Edition… will I be able to download it, or is it stuck to the Definitive Edition Hub that is there?
And is the whole “Full Soundtrack” actually still a thing…? Is the 3 Post Season 3 tracks also there?
Thanks beforehand
Edit: Can see the Complete Soundtrack on Steam is pretty much what I want… but… Seems I’m only allowed to use it if I have the game on Steam… have no interest in buying a second version on a different platform
Why is it so hard to get the complete soundtrack? And why can’t we get it in FLAC format?
I’ve already bought Season 1 and 2 OSTs from Microsofts own Groove Music… and they’re now gone from there for some reason… season 3 also can’t be found there, and the 3 last Singles seem to have to be bought separately if not from the Steam version…
Why is this so complicated?
